With the support of the Wool and Mohair Promotion Project (WAMPP), the Department of Range Resources Management (DRRM) managed to establish the National Grazing Association (NGA) which further led to the election of Executive and Management committees. NGA is composed of two representatives from District Grazing Associations (DGAs) from 10 districts. Grazing Associations (GAs) are organized users, and residents within the area, are engaged in the management of range resources and livestock, and operate with the advice of an extension officer, {currently known as Range Technical Officer – [RTO]} (Buscher, 2005).
NGA Executive and Management committees and DRRM staff attended the workshop to validate the constitution of NGA from 1 to 2 November 2022. The workshop was held at Aloes Guest house. The constitution was validated to align it with the National Range Resources Management Policy of 2014.
