REGIONAL TRAINING WORKSHOP ON FOREST AND TREE-BASED CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION FOR AFRICAN FOREST STAKEHOLDERS IN ANGLOPHONE AND LUSOPHONE COUNTRIES

In line with its annual work plan for 2022, the African forest Forum (AFF), using the validated, revised and edited compendium on "Forests and Climate Change Adaptation: A Compendium  for Short Courses in African Forestry", organized a regional training workshop on forest- and tree-based climate change adaptation for African forestry stakeholders from civil society organizations, extension workers, the private sector, policy makers and community-based organizations in selected English-speaking countries. 

The overall objective of the training workshop was to build the capacity of a critical mass of African forest sector stakeholders from English-speaking countries in collaboration with  local communities, with the aim of improving the contribution of forest and tree resources to climate change adaptation and exploring opportunities to support policy implementation,  adaptation plans and actions based on forests and trees.

Representation: Angola, Egypt, Ethiopia, Gambia, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda and Tanzania.
