Grazing associations and Grazing Control

• To identify suitable areas for establishment of Grazing Associations (Village Grazing Schemes, Range Management Areas and Herders Associations) for the proper management of rangelands.
• To contact awareness campaigns, training and mobilization of the community for development of associations.
• To assist in the formulation of constitutions of the established associations and declaration of the associations.
• To source out the funds, where they are available, for implementation of  associations’ management plans.
• To support the existing associations through training and participating in the meetings.

Grazing Management and Liaison

• To facilitate the awareness campaigns on proper management of rangelands including protection and conservation of wetlands and also prevention unprescribed fires on the rangelands.
• To conduct trainings for all stakeholders on range management issues.
• To print and distribute the Grazing Permits according Range Management and Grazing Control Regulations of 1980.
• To print and distribute the Grazing Management Receipts as a proof of payment for impounded livestock according Range Management and Grazing Control Regulations of 1980 and its preceding amendments.
• To monitor and follow up the usage of the Grazing Management Documents (Grazing Permits and Receipts Books).
